THE FACULTY of Arts and Letters (AB) grabbed bronze in this year’s Theomasino: Thomasian Theology Quiz Bee held Friday at the Medicine Auditorium.

The Conservatory of Music landed as first runner-up, while the College of Education emerged as champions, dethroning the Faculty of Pharmacy.

Composing the AB team were Philosophy junior Gabriel Madrid, Philosophy sophomore Kenichi Tigas, History senior Argene Clasara, and Behavioral Science senior Sophia Salonga, who represented the Faculty in the extemporaneous speech in the final round.

Literature sophomore Philip Jamilla, meanwhile, won first place in the Theomasino essay writing contest held October. Representatives from the College of Education and College of Rehabilitation Sciences grabbed the second and third spots, respectively.

“We are happy kasi we worked hard for this. They really prepared for this event with the help and support of the administrators of our faculty. We were able to reach our goal, our ultimate goal of course to win,” AB coach John Paul Balanquit told the Flame.

Theomasino, a university-wide annual event organized by the Institute of Religion, is now on its fifth year. MARIA EDEN T. DINO
