“Gaano katagal na po kayo nagtuturo?”

“Kailan lang, mga 26 years. Kailan lang, 1990 lang.”

“What makes you stay in the profession?”

“Well, I like it. You get to meet a lot of people tapos, syempre, every day hindi laging ‘yun ‘yung ginagawa mo. Paiba-iba kasi you talk to different kinds of people [from] all walks of life. […] Saka parang showbiz [ito] e—everything has to go on. Hindi pwedeng wala ka nang gana. Kailangan magturo ka.”

“What realizations have you made?”

“That there’s no better profession than teaching, because here, despite the fact na […] sabihin nilang ‘di ka yumaman sa pagtuturo, the mere fact that you have touched the lives of other people in your profession, siguro ‘yun ang pinakamagandang regalo na maibibigay mo sa sarili mo.”
