THE COLLEGE of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) handed the Faculty of Arts and Letters (AB) Men’s Volleyball Team its first defeat in the latest season of the Thomasian Goodwill Games, 27-25, 25-21, and 25-17, crushing AB’s hopes for the championship.

CTHM dominated early in the deciding set through its improved offense, 21-14. AB tried to catch up with the opponent’s lead with forceful attacks but to no avail.

AB took the lead during the start of the second frame through Estrada’s seething attacks. But the momentum slowly shifted to the men in blue and green as their attacks penetrated AB’s defense, 25-21.

CTHM fired up early in the opening frame, leaving AB behind, 6-1. But AB caught up mid-set, forcing four deadlocks. F ANGELIQUE ANNE F. TORRES
