LIFE CAN sometimes be frustrating, and things do not always go the way people want them to. Living sometimes feels like drowning in a sea of problems where people are inevitably swept by the current, where the ebb and flow lead to several uncertainties. The complications can also come like a ravaging tidal wave, hailing enough force to overwhelm all upon its wake. Life soaks people to the bone, and the saturation of sadness and stress stops people from feeling happiness or love at all.

People can get lost in the vast expanse of the world, and like little boats, need a lighthouse to find their way back to the shore. In the maelstroms that seem to push people away from their safe haven, others must be brave to face the storm to pull those who are sinking back to safety. As people search the depths of their existence, they grow. They learn that while their troubles may tug them back and forth, the treasures that they seek can be found if they swim enough in the profundity of life. F ADRIAN PAUL L. TAÑEDO
