Asst. Prof. Faye Martel-Abugan from the Department of Communication and Media Studies and Assoc. Prof. Arnold Aldaba from the Department of English were this year’s recipients of Gawad Benavides award for their 20 years of service.

In his opening remarks, the University’s Acting Rector Fr. Richard Ang, O.P., encouraged the Thomasian educators to employ an environment of mutual respect in their own classrooms.

He added that an environment of fear in the classroom hinders the students’ creativity in learning.
