LEARN TO appreciate the past and emulate the life of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Thomasians were told during the Holy Mass in celebration of the Virgin Mary’s nativity.

Fr. Louie Coronel O.P., parish priest of Santisimo Rosario Parish, told the Thomasian community to “rise above the sin” and let the Lord be the center of their journey in life.

“In this journey, we should look back, not only look within, but look back with gratitude. […] We need to look forward with hope. [At] kasabay ng pag-move forward, we should look down in humility, but most importantly to look up with faith in God,” Colonel said.

Lahat ng journey natin ay magiging maganda kung tayo ay mag-aalay ng buhay sa Diyos katulad ni Maria,” he added.

Coronel encouraged the faithful to reflect on the life of the Mother of Jesus who remained faithful to God despite the challenges and sufferings she encountered.

“We are reminded of the three things that we must put in our hearts: faith, hope and love. […] [T]ulad ni Maria na nanatiling faithful, hopeful, and loving until the end,” Coronel said, recalling the Virgin Mary’s patience when she was chosen to be the mother of Jesus.

The Mass was held at the Santisimo Rosario Parish. F
