THE FACULTY of Arts and Letters (AB) Men’s Basketball Team hammered down the Faculties of Ecclesiastical Studies, 59-42, for its third straight victory in this year’s Thomasian Goodwill Games held Wednesday at the P. Noval Court.

Fast breaks and feints from AB’s Nicko Bahia snatched an early lead for the men-in-blue, 18-6. Despite Ecclesiastical Studies’ efforts to beef up its defense, AB still held the team back in the second quarter, 32-17.

Multiple steals by AB in the second half widened the score gap to 25 points, 50-25, stopping the opposing team in its tracks.

Fiery drives from Ecclesiastical Studies’ Ian Melendres were not enough to keep up with the Dapitan-based squad, ending the game with a resounding win.

Bahia scored 14 points while Janrey Garrido tallied 10 points.

The team faces College of Tourism and Hospitality Management next. F
