ASST. DEAN Narcisa Tabirara denied that the Dean’s Office specified a date for the release of the breakdown on the use of the controversial P1,200 pilgrimage fee, but promised that they will start working on it this week.

In an online exchange on June 27, Artlets Student Council (ABSC) President Rafael Arellano told the Flame that the Office was set to release the breakdown “not later than July 6.”

“I don’t really recall giving a specific date for [the breakdown] because I also have to rely on the information that I get from the Office of the Vice Rector for Finance,” Tabirara said in an interview on Tuesday.

Arellano confirmed on Wednesday that there was miscommunication between the ABSC and the Dean’s Office.

“It would appear na meron (miscommunication), given the facts na nakuha natin nung Monday. Pero clear po kasi talaga [ang] pagkarinig ng auditor namin nung in-ask niya,” he said.

Tabirara said the Office was not able to work on the breakdown because they were busy settling enrolment matters with the freshmen along with the advising of the upperclassmen.

“I guess this week would be quite free for us, so we should be able to attend to that. So we’ll do our best to clear things up with the Office of the Vice Rector for Finance,” she said.

Tabirara added that the Office has not yet compiled the necessary documents for the breakdown such as administrative bills.

“[We] have not received the bill for the use of the auditorium. So we have not been able to put things together. We have questions also from the Office of the Treasurer. So we also have to clear some points with the Office of the Treasurer,” she explained.

Artlets from Batch 2018 questioned the use of the P1, 200 pilgrimage fee that they paid last academic year after it was reallocated to a thanksgiving and prayer worship program. F
