BES instructor dies at 52

FACULTY OF Arts and Letters’ Behavioral Science instructor Emilia Mendoza-Consing passed away yesterday, June 6 at 52 years old.

Department chair of Interdisciplinary Studies John Kliatchko said that Consing was confined for cancer treatment, according to the Varsitarian.

Consing completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology as cum laude at the University of San Agustin-Iloilo and master’s degree in human resource management at the University of Santo Tomas.

Consing served as a human resource manager in Lufthansa Technik Philippines and behavioral science instructor at the University, under the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies.

“Siya talaga yung professor na pwedeng-pwede mong malapitan at masabihan ng kahit ano. Tapos hindi ka ipapahiya pag mali ang sagot mo, itatama ka pa niya in the most gentle way as possible. Maraming Salamat sa mga personal advices and Rest in Peace, Ma’am Emy!” Lara Alfaro, a behavioral science student, said in a Facebook post.

UST Behavioral Science Society (UST- BESSOC) also offered their condolences to the bereaved family. F
