“Kailan po kayo nag-umpisa magturo?”
“I started teaching in the year 1981. My 35th year (in teaching) was last November so I am very happy to have shared my knowledge to my students.”
“What is your teaching philosophy?”
“Education is forever, so you don’t stop. You don’t stop learning and that is Sociology. In Sociology, occurrences in life are learning experiences. All experiences have its explanations to why these things happen. And, ito pa isa, this is learning the skill. Sociology taught me the skill to listen, to read, to do research, and to eradicate stress in life.”
“Ano pa po ‘yung gusto niyo pong malaman ng mga estudyante tungkol po sa mga teachers?”
“They should understand that teaching is a thankless job; they should learn how to nourish what has been taught in school, and they should never forget—I would quote Dean Magdalena Villaba here when she said that ‘Students, when they leave the portals of the University, they should not forget the people that they have encountered as they grow up because they will be the same people that they will encounter where they will end.’”

I apologize for using this space to find out if Josephine Placido went to Holy Family in Baguio in the early to mid- 60s? If not, once again I apologize for the inconvenience. I attended Holy Family then and was wondering if she was my classmate.
