INKBLOTS WILL be held virtually for the first time due to the global pandemic and will tackle how the media adapt to the new normal for its 22nd year.
This year’s Inkblots will focus on media coverage and journalism in the new normal with the veteran journalists invited to talk at the webinar.
Fr. Nicanor Austriaco, a molecular biologist and Catholic priest will tackle the faith, science, and spreading of truth while a reporter from Al Jazeera, Jamela Alindogan will talk about new normal news coverage.
Camille Diola, editor in chief of Philstar.com, will also focus on new normal coverage online while Christian Esguerra, ABS-CBN News Channel anchor and journalism professor, will focus on the importance of journalistic autonomy.
Inkblots is an annual gathering for campus journalists and media practitioners hosted by the Varsitarian to discuss the latest issues and trends in the field.
The webinar will be held at Zoom and broadcasted live on Facebook on April 9, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The webinar is free for everyone and will be given an online certificate of participation to those who will complete the webinar. F
