THE VARSITARIAN is now accepting entries for the 6th UST National Campus Journalism Awards (UNCJA) open to college and university-level student publications nationwide, in print or online.
This year’s UNCJA will honor outstanding works in campus journalism in three categories: In-depth News, Best Editorial, and Best Feature.
UNCJA is hosted by the Varsitarian to give recognition to the works of students who promote social awareness and participation in local and national concerns through campus journalism.
The Varsitarian will accept articles published within February 2020 until before May 15.
Print articles must be submitted as scanned copies in PDF format while a screenshot image should be attached for online articles.
The judges for this year’s UNCJA are ABS-CBN News Channel anchor and journalism professor, Christian Esguerra, executive director of Asian Center for Journalism, Luz Rimban, Pulitzer Prize winner and Editor-at-Large of PressONE, Manuel Mogato, Philippine Star reporter and journalism professor, Alexis Romero, and executive director for Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism, Carmela Fonbuena.
The winners will be announced in June, the first prize will win P10,000 cash and an e-certificate.
The deadline for submission of entries is on May 15. F
