
OVER 7,000 Thomasians are poised to don their academic regalia and receive their college degrees this year, based on partial figures from the Office of the Registrar.
As of the latest tally, the total number of graduating students from the class of 2025 stands at 7,030, but the figure may still change as some academic units have yet to finalize their official lists, according to Office of the Registrar Assistant Director Asst. Prof. Kashmer Cruz.
The College of Commerce and Business Administration has so far tallied the highest number of candidates for graduation with 686, followed closely by the Faculty of Arts and Letters with 660 and the Faculty of Engineering with 650.
The Faculty of Pharmacy will send off 598 graduates, followed by the College of Science with 561 and the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management with 546.
The College of Information and Computing Sciences has so far produced a total of 430 candidates for graduation, while the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery is expected to confer degrees on 415 graduates.
The UST Alfredo M. Velayo College of Accountancy has 400 candidates so far while the College of Architecture has 380.
The College of Fine Arts and Design will send off 377 graduates this year, while the College of Rehabilitation Sciences will produce 316. A total of 284 graduates from the College of Education will finish their degree.
The Graduate School recorded 225 graduates, while the College of Nursing will have 177 candidates.
The Faculty of Civil Law will confer degrees on 111 candidates, while the Ecclesiastical Faculties, which is composed of the Faculties of Philosophy, Sacred Theology and Canon Law, will have a total of 73 graduates.
The Graduate School of Law recorded 17 graduates, while the Institute of Physical Education and Athletics and the Conservatory of Music will have 63 and 61 candidates, respectively.
During the previous academic year, UST sent off 7,795 graduates, with the Faculty of Arts and Letters recording the highest number at 900. It was followed by the Faculty of Pharmacy with 779 and the UST-Alfredo M. Velayo College of Accountancy with 680.
