UST draws over 42,000 enrollees, partial data shows

A TOTAL of 42,234 students have enrolled in UST for the first term of the academic year 2025-2026, according to partial and official data from the Office of the Registrar.

Data obtained by The Flame showed that 35,041 have enrolled in various faculties, colleges, institutes and the graduate school as of Aug. 11, 10,517 of them freshmen. 

The partial figure is so far lower by 1.7% than the 42,941 enrollees in the same term last year.

Basic education consisting of education high school, high school and senior high school has garnered 7,193 enrollees. 

The Faculty of Arts and Letters (AB) has so far lured the highest number of enrollees among colleges with 4,160, already higher than the 3,895 logged in the first semester of last year

Among AB programs, Communication had the highest tally at 717 enrollees this term, followed by Legal Management at 577 and Political Science at 559.

The Faculty of Engineering has logged 3,864  enrollees, while a total of 3,429 students have enrolled in the Faculty of Pharmacy.

The College of Science has recorded 2,801 enrollees for this term, while the College of Commerce has posted 2,753 enrollees.

The College of Information and Computing Sciences has tallied 2,315 enrollees in its various programs, followed by the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery with 2,075 students. 

The College of Tourism and Hospitality Management has attracted 1,951 students, while the UST-AMV College of Accountancy has garnered 1,930 enrollees.

The College of Architecture has recorded a total of 1,859 enrollees, while the College of Fine Arts and Design has posted 1,821 enrolled students.

The number of enrollees in the Graduate School has reached 1,509, while the College of Education has drawn 1,315 enrollees.

A total of 1,234 enrolled in the College of Rehabilitation Sciences while the College of Nursing attracted 743 enrollees. Meanwhile, the Faculty of Civil Law logged 487 enrolled students.  

The Conservatory of Music has recorded a total of 341 enrolled students, while the Institute of Physical Education and Athletics has posted 349 enrollees.

The Graduate School of Law has logged 105 enrolled students.

Enrollment data for the Faculties of Sacred Theology, Philosophy and Canon Law is not yet available as of writing.

The University’s late enrollment period runs until Aug. 22. F

Editor’s note: The story was updated to change the total number of enrollees. The initial data provided by the Office of the Registrar included enrollees from the School of Business and Accountancy, which the office requested to disregard two days after the story was published.
