A TOTAL of 5,803 Thomasians have registered for an alumni card as of Dec. 11, a drop from the 7,845 applicants recorded in the first eleven months of last year, according to data from the UST Office of Alumni Relations.

Alumni relations director Asst. Prof. Joreen Rocamora said inquiries and applications have again spiked in recent weeks as the Dec. 19 Paskuhan concert approaches.

“As the Paskuhan concert draws near, we also receive an influx of not only alumni card applications but also inquiries regarding the entry requirements for alumni,” Rocamora told The Flame.

The slowdown comes despite the annual surge of registrations that typically begins in October.

Processing usually takes seven to 21 business days, depending on the applicant’s chosen processing date.

With the Paskuhan festivities nearing, the alumni relations office said it processes and releases over 100 cards per week to accommodate the rush of requests from alumni hoping to join the year-end celebration.

Thomasians may apply for their alumni card through the Thomasian Alumni Portal online services, with options for delivery or self-pickup. Applicants who choose the pickup option must present a valid ID and the claiming stub emailed to them once the card is ready.

The alumni card is a requirement for entry to Paskuhan, which will again be limited to Thomasians and alumni this year.

According to the UST Alumni Associations website, there are 29 alumni organizations in the University. F
