
SHOWING CONSISTENT growth for the last four years, UST has again logged its highest number of indexed studies in databases Scopus and Web of Science in 2025, the UST Research Center for Social Sciences and Education (RCSSED) announced.
According to an initial tally posted by the RCSSED’s Facebook page on Jan. 1, UST published 458 Scopus-indexed works last year, surpassing its 448 outputs in 2024 and extending its yearly increase since 2019.
In the Scopus database, UST had 405 entries in 2023, 361 in 2022, 337 in 2021, 287 in 2020 and 227 in 2019.
Meanwhile, the University posted 385 scholarly works this year for Web of Science, where it has recorded annual growth in research output since 2022.
UST contributed 364 articles in 2024, 352 in 2023 and 345 in 2022, lower than the year prior’s 353.
RCSSED noted that the 2025 tally is still unofficial, as some articles published within the last year have yet to be included in both databases.
Scopus and Web of Science are considered among the top international databases for journals and literature covering various fields and scientific disciplines. F
