
THE VARSITARIAN, the official student publication of UST, earned seven accolades at the 2026 Apple Awards of the College Media Association (CMA), it announced on Monday, March 9.
The CMA is a United States-based organization of collegiate media and advisers, including The Varsitarian.
The UST publication had won eight titles in different categories at the 2025 Pinnacle College Media Awards, also given by the same organization.
The Varsitarian placed first in the Best Newspaper category among Division 1 schools or colleges and universities with at least 10,000 students, Best Feature Photography and Best News Website category.
Its entries for the ad and Best Social Media Coverage of a Single Event categories both won second place.
The University-wide media entity also had honorable mentions in the Best News Photography and Best Social Media Engagement categories.
The Apple Awards, spanning 19 categories, were presented at the CMA Spring National College Media Convention, held from March 5 to 7 in New York City. F
