THE UST Lady Booters capped off the UAAP women’s football tournament with a bronze finish after a 2-0 victory over the UP Fighting Maroons on Saturday, Nov. 30, at the UP Football Stadium.

Lady Booter forward Christy Logastua wasted no time to give UST a one-point lead in the 3rd minute through a brilliant finish that left the Maroons’ defense scrambling, 1-0.
UP launched multiple attempts to score, but UST goalkeeper Lizlie Garcia showed formidable defense.
Logastua doubled the damage in the 47th minute after smashing home her brace to seal UST’s 2-0 advantage.
The Diliman-based squad attempted to rally but struggled to penetrate the rock-solid backline of the España squad.
UST’s defender Cindy Bennett was forced off the pitch after picking up an injury from a collision with a UP player during the intense showdown.
This is UST Lady Booters’ best campaign in the league since Season 81 where they lost to DLSU Green Booters in a semifinals matchup. F
