UST GOLDEN Spiker alumnus and libero Van Tracy Prudenciado has officially signed with Spikers’ Turf reigning champions Cignal HD Spikers, the team announced in a social media post on Monday, July 28.
Prudenciado was UST’s last stand on the taraflex from Season 85 to 86, a role that he shared with his younger sibling Nat.
He will also be reuniting with former teammates Joshua Umandal and Jay Rack de la Noche, who left UST in Season 82 and 87, respectively.
This will be Prudenciado’s first season in the semi-professional league, following a cancelled stint with the D’Navigators Iloilo team back in 2024-2025 season.
The former Golden Spiker graduated from the UST College of Tourism and Hospitality Management with a degree in Travel Operation and Service Management in 2024.
Joining Prudenciado in a stacked libero pool are Vince Lorenzo and veteran Sandy Montero.
Lorenzo was named Best Libero in the Open Conference this season and the Invitational Conference in 2024. Montero clinched the same award twice in the now-defunct Reinforced Conference in 2014 and 2015 and once in the Open Conference in 2016. F – Johann Paulus Coronel
