Tigresses remain unblemished with 38-point drubbing of FEU

THE UST Growling Tigresses continued their winning ways after crushing the FEU Lady Tamaraws, 104–66, in the UAAP Season 88 women’s basketball tournament on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at the Mall of Asia Arena.

UST improved to a 5-0 win-loss record, while FEU fell to 2-3.

Tigress sophomore Karylle Sierba topscored with 21 points on 7-of-12 shooting, while Kent Pastrana and Gin Relliquette finished with 15 and 14 points, respectively.

The España team started efficiently as Coi Danganan and Eka Soriano waxed hot in the first quarter to take a solid 33-20 advantage.

Efforts from Sierba and Pastrana helped UST balloon the lead to 20 by halftime, 57-37.

UST stayed in control in the third period as CJ Maglupay and Gin Reliquette continued to rain down on the struggling FEU, 81-55.

The Tigresses outscored the Lady Tamaraws 23-11  in the fourth quarter to claim victory.

Amyah Espasol led the charge for FEU, notching 18 points. MJ Manguiat added 11 markers in the loss.

The Tigresses will look to clinch another win as they go up against the Adamson Soaring Falcons on Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Araneta Coliseum. F
