Continuing the edge for UST was Christopher Sonsona’s bounce-back win after a first-set deficit, taking down Lance Fernandez in the first singles, 6-7(3), 7-6(4), 6-1.

It was Ericjay Tangub who called the shots for the victory, surviving a third singles duel against Loucas Fernandez, 4-6, 7-6, 7-5.

The Espana squad looks to reclaim the program’s 17th title on Saturday, March 28, at the same venue. F
