DESPITE THE government's decision to relax the masking mandate, University officials advised Thomasians to continue wearing face masks in indoor settings, citing the rising number of COVID-19 infections. Executive Order No. 7 signed by President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. last Oct. 28 made the wearing of face masks voluntary in indoor areas and enclosed spaces. In response to the Palace order, the Office of the Secretary-General issued a memorandum "strongly" recommending the wearing of facemasks in enclosed spaces and indoor areas where ventilation may be compromised."
