AB Chorale settled for first runner-up, garnering 91.67%, while the Accountancy Chamber Singers (College of Accountancy) garnered 93.67%, earning the championship. The choir took the championship after garnering a score of 93.21 points. It also took home a P40,000 prize, along with awards for Best Interpretation (of the set piece), Best Conductor, and Best Costume Apparel. AB Chorale president Camille Barsolaso said the choir did not expect to win this year’s competition, underscoring the difficulty in maintaining the championship. AFTER 20 years, the Chorus of Arts and Letters (AB Chorale) finally found the perfect melody as it snagged the championship in this year’s Himig Tomasino held May 28 at the Medicine Auditorium. AB Chorale also received the Best Interpretation of Contest Piece award while Mark Raeniel Agpasa was once again named Best Conductor. “Last year, second runner-up kami.
