TWO ALUMNI of the UST Journalism program won accolades at the 35th Economic Journalists Association of the Philippines (EJAP)-Ayala Business Journalism Awards on Nov. 6.
Jasper Emmanuel Arcalas of The Philippine Star clinched the Best Agriculture Reporter of the Year award, marking his third consecutive win and fifth recognition in the category in nine years.
Arcalas joined The Philippine Star in 2024 as a reporter covering agriculture, mining and water. He now teaches at the Journalism department.
Lorenz Marasigan, who graduated in 2013, won the Feature Story of the Year award for BusinessMirror. He covers the telecommunications, transportation and infrastructure industries for the business broadsheet.
