THE VARSITARIAN, the official student publication of the University of Santo Tomas (UST), extended the deadline for submission of entries for the 8th UST National Campus Journalism Awards (UNCJA) until Jan. 14.
The UNCJA recognizes exemplary works of print and online college and university-level student publications nationwide in three categories namely in-depth report, editorial, and feature writing.
The Varsitarian launched the first campus journalism awards in 2015 to promote social awareness of local and national issues through campus journalism.
Print and online entries must be published or posted online from Jan. 4 to Nov. 15, 2022, and must be submitted in PDF format.
A student publication can submit a maximum of three entries per category by scanning the QR code found on its official social media accounts.
The winners will be announced on the Varsitarian’s Facebook page on Feb. 18 during Inkblots, the publication’s annual national campus journalism fellowship.
The winning publications per category will receive P10,000 cash and a certificate. F
