Sociology, History grab Glaucus Prize championships

SOCIOLOGY AND History emerged as the champions in group and individual category, respectively, of this year’s Glaucus Prize held Friday.

The Sociology team composed of Antonio Maria Concepcion, Carlo Basilio Lorenzo, Dominique Revadulla, Karol Jim Louis Castillo, and Axl Francisco garnered a total of 145 points, besting 10 other majors.

Economics settled for a bridesmaid finish with 130 points, while Political Science placed third in the team category with 105 points.

Meanwhile, History sophomore Jose Alberto Jimenez topped the individual category of the competition after earning a total of 155 points.

Dominating the average and difficult rounds of the finals, Jimenez kept a close fight with Joshua Ines of Asian Studies who placed second with 135 points. Maiki Raval of Economics snagged the third place with 125 points.

The Glaucus Prize is an annual quiz bee of the Faculty organized by the Artlets Student Council in partnership with AB Pautakan. MIKKAH F. FACTOR
