THE TEAMS of Political Science (PolSci) and Sociology went home as this year’s Glaucus Prize victors in the group and individual category, respectively.
The PolSci team composed of Dean Recana, Hanna Medes, Kristoffer Pereda, Lexanne Garcia, and Lawrence Llanita garnered a total of 91 points, dethroning last year’s champion in the team category, Sociology, in a clincher round after tying at 90 points by the end of the difficult round.
English Language Studies (ELS) landed third in the group category with 65 points.
Sociology senior Axl Francisco topped the individual category with 170 points.
Last year’s solo category champion and History junior Jose Alberto Jimenez settled for a bridesmaid finish with 135 points. PolSci junior Kristoffer Pereda grabbed the third spot with 95 points.
“Natutuwa lang ako na nakikilala ang Socio na nananalo sa events kasi usually hindi masyadong napapansin ang Socio,” Francisco told the Flame.
