A TOTAL of 42,941 students enrolled in UST for the first term of the academic year 2024-2025, higher by 3.34% from last year’s 41,554 enrollees, according to the final tally from the Office of the Registrar.
There were 35,685 enrollees from the University’s various colleges, faculties, institutes and the graduate school, data obtained by The Flame showed.
Meanwhile, 7,256 students were enrolled in the education high school, high school and senior high school, collectively known as basic education.
The Faculty of Arts and Letters (AB) recorded 3,895 enrolled students, 1,205 of them freshmen. It had 1,116 sophomores, 777 juniors and 796 seniors. The figure is the highest number of enrollees AB posted in seven years.
Among AB programs, Communication logged the highest number of enrollees this term at 445, which consists of 146 freshmen, 130 sophomores, 91 juniors and 78 seniors.
The Faculty of Engineering lured the most number of enrollees with 3,973, while a total of 3,369 students enrolled in the Faculty of Pharmacy.
The College of Commerce logged 2,741 enrolled students while College of Science recorded 2,693 enrollees for this term.
The College of Information and Computing Sciences tallied 2,352 enrollees in its various programs, while the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management had 2,074 students.
The UST-AMV College of Accountancy garnered 1,922 enrolled students. Meanwhile, the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery posted 1,904 enrollees.
The College of Architecture recorded a total of 1,889 enrollees, while the College of Fine Arts and Design had 1,839 enrolled students.
The number of enrollees in the Graduate School reached 1,613, while the College of Education had 1,253 enrollees for this term.
A total of 1,177 enrolled in the College of Rehabilitation Sciences while the College of Nursing attracted 698 enrollees.
The Conservatory of Music recorded a total of 467 enrolled students, while the Institute of Physical Education and Athletics had 428 enrollees.
The number of enrollees in the Faculty of Sacred Theology hit 185 while the Graduate School of Law logged 112 enrolled students.
The Faculty of Philosophy recorded 108 enrollees, while the Faculty of Canon Law lured 80 students.
A total of 65 students were also enrolled in the University’s review classes and short courses.
The University’s late enrollment period ended on Aug. 20. F
