AN ALUMNA of the Faculty of Arts and Letters has taken over three major posts at supermarket operator AllDay Marts Inc. led by business tycoon and former senator Manny Villar.

Magdalena de Guzman, a Behavioral Science graduate from batch 1988, was elected acting president, chief operating officer and director of AllDay, the company announced in a regulatory filing last Oct. 22.

De Guzman will assume the roles held previously by Jacqueline Cano, who resigned because of personal reasons.

De Guzman’s career in the real estate sector began at property developer Vista Land, where she worked as administrative and operating head.

The Artlets alumna entered the retail industry as merchandising head of AllHome from 2015 to 2017. In 2018, she returned to Vistaland as its administrative group head.

In 2022, de Guzman started working for investment and holdings company Prime Assets Ventures Inc. Purchasing Group, where she oversaw the regulatory and compliance departments. F
