UST logs more than 40,000 enrollees for the second term of AY 2024-2025, preliminary data show

Preliminary figure higher by 4% than last term’s initial count

A TOTAL of 40,279 students have enrolled in UST for the second term of academic year 2024-2025 as of Monday, Jan. 20, a week before the end of the enrollment period, according to preliminary data from the Office of the Registrar.

The preliminary figure is higher by 4.15% than last term’s initial count of 38,675 enrollees. It is also near the final figure of 40,657 students enrolled for the second term of the previous academic year.

UST has logged 33,054 students in different faculties, colleges and institutions, data obtained by The Flame showed. In the basic education, which is made up of the education high school, junior high school and senior high school, the University has recorded 7,225 enrollees.

The Faculty of Arts and Letters has drawn the highest number of enrolled students among the University’s institutions at 3,755. Of the Artlets enrollees, 1,145 are freshmen, 1,079 are sophomores, 778 are juniors and 753 are seniors.

It was followed by the Faculty of Engineering with 3,684 enrollees, while the Faculty of Pharmacy has logged 3,178 students.

The College of Commerce has lured 2,660 enrollees to its different programs while the College of Science has attracted 2,634 students.

A total of 2,306 students have enrolled in the College of Information and Computing Sciences, while the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management has logged 2,003 enrollees.

The College of Fine Arts and Design has recorded 1,809 enrollees while the College of Architecture has posted 1,805 students.

The UST-Alfredo M. Velayo College of Accountancy has attracted 1,728 enrollees, while 1,574 students have enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery.

The Graduate School has recorded 1,474 enrollees, followed by the College of Education with 1,196 students.

The College of Rehabilitation Sciences has logged 1,150 students, while the College of Nursing has lured 672 enrollees.

The Institute of Physical Education has recorded 357 enrollees while the Faculty of Civil Law has so far posted 323 enrollees.

A total of 287 have enrolled in the Conservatory of Music, while the Faculty of Sacred Theology has garnered 170 enrollees.

The Faculty of Philosophy has recorded 99 enrolled students, while the Faculty of Canon Law and the Graduate School of Law has tallied 76 enrollees each.

A total of 48 students have enrolled in the University’s different review classes and short courses.

Regular classes this term began last Jan. 13. Thomasians had until Jan. 17 to enroll without a late fee.

The University will run the extended enrollment period until Jan. 27. F
