THE FACULTY of Arts and Letters (AB) Men’s Basketball Team demolished the College of Science, 74-61, claiming its second straight win in this year’s Thomasian Goodwill Games held Monday at the P. Noval Court.
Science snatched the lead from AB early in the fourth quarter, 56-52, through Enzo Montes’ three-point jumpshot and Mark Remorozo’s lay-up.
Determined to go back to its momentum, AB blasted a 4-0 run through the efforts of Nicko Bahia and Kiko Banal, 60-56.
AB continued to convert points from the free throw line after fouls troubled Science.
AB’s Janrey Garrido led AB with 17 points while Banal tallied 13 points.
“Basta palagi ko lang sinasabi sa mga teammates ko bago man mag-start opening ng Goodwill is relax lang and enjoy ‘yung game. […] We trust each other’s abilities and provide what we can,” Garrido told the Flame in an online exchange.
AB faces the Faculty of Ecclesiastical Studies next. F
