GROWLING TIGER rookie Koji Buenaflor is set to take part in the first international camp of NBA superstar Stephen Curry from August 18 to 21 in Chongqing, China.

The Tiger Cub champion, along with EJ Castillo from Emilio Aguinaldo College, earned an exclusive invitation to the elite event spearheaded by the two-time NBA MVP.

“I’m incredibly excited for this year’s tour—to bring it to Asia for the first time,” Curry said in a statement.

Before committing to UST’s seniors program, Buenaflor played a pivotal role in ending the Tiger Cubs’ 24-year title drought. In his final high school year, he averaged 12.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 1.59 assists.

The 6-foot-6 forward is set to make his debut in the seniors rank this Season 88, along with high school teammates Carl Manding and Charles Bucsit.

Making its first global edition, the Curry Camp will offer one-on-one coaching and both on and off court mentorship from Curry and a global cast of coaches and trainers.

Launched in 2015, Curry Camp has become a platform for showcasing the world’s most promising basketball prospects.

Beyond the court, participants will take part in educational activities, community outreach and team-bonding experiences.

This year marks the start of the 2025 Curry Brand World Tour, a global initiative by Curry Brand in partnership with Under Armour, featuring stops in the USA and China. F
