Artlets bag awards in univ-wide debate contest

  MEMBERS of the AB Debate Parliament (ABDP) once again took home awards in this year’s Dialectics, the university-wide debate competition organized by the Thomasian Debaters Council. History sophomore John Steven Usero emerged as the competition’s third best speaker while Communication Arts (CA) junior Taj Majal Pasihul and Asian Studies (ASN) junior Lorraine Sajorda both landed as fifth best speakers. ASN tops AB Debate 2017

THE TEAM of Asian Studies (ASN) emerged as the champion of this year's Faculty of Arts and Letters (AB) Debate Series, the annual inter-major debate competition of the Faculty held last Feb. 19 and 26. The team was composed of juniors Lorraine Sajorda and Michael Gutierrez, and sophomore Moses Rivera. Artlets win in univ-wide debate contest

MEMBERS OF the AB Debate Parliament (ABDP) bagged awards in Dialectics, the annual university-wide debate competition sponsored by the Thomasians Debaters Council. Out of the competition’s ten best speakers, five winners came from AB. Dominating the top three spots were ABDP prime minister and Behavioral Science junior Sophia Marionne Salonga, Journalism senior Roy Narra, and Literature junior Frances Ungria as overall, second, and third best public speakers, respectively.
