by MATTHEW DAVE JUCOM THE FACULTY of Arts and Letters bagged 24 out of the 28 awards received by the University during the 9th Student Quill, the International Association of Business Communications (IABC) announced Friday. Seventeen Artlets were recognized for their contributions in the field of communication under the communication management, communication research, and communication skills division in this year's Quill Awards.  Artlet seniors James Patrick Cruz and Maria Gabriel Jopillo from the journalism and communication programs, respectively, won awards in the communication skills writing category. Cruz was recognized for his three published stories at Interaksyon on pandemic and elections, while Jopillo won the award for her piece "Before 6:30 AM." Denise Sophia M

JUCOM THIRTEEN STUDENTS and alumni from the Faculty of Arts and Letters (AB) have won in this year’s Student Quill Awards, the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines announced on Friday.  Artlets reaped awards in four different categories and divisions namely, Communication Management - Student Entry Division, Communication Skills - Student Entry Division, Special and Experiential Events Category and Social Media Programs Category. Artlets shine in Student Quill awards; UST is 5-time School of the Year awardee

By LUIS MIGUEL B. ARUCAN MEDIA STUDENTS from the Faculty of Arts and Letters shone and took home 10 trophies at the 6th Philippine Student Quill Awards held Monday at the Marriott Hotel. The University was also named School of the Year for the fifth time in a row after winning a total of 36 awards, besting UST Angelicum College, Inc., De La Salle-College of St. Benilde, Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Manila, De La Salle University-Dasmariñas and Bataan Peninsula State University. Awards of Excellence were given to “Anker: Power in Your Hands” and “Triggered” from Communication Arts (CA) students, “Kwentong Balangay: A Documentary about the Flooding in UST” from Journalism majors, and “Dapitan: Paglisan,” the 2017 literary folio of the Flame.
