THE UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas (UST) will continue its work-from-home arrangements every Monday for administrative units as part of its ongoing energy conservation measures, effective Oct. 12
“The University hereby adopts a revised Monday work arrangement that balances energy conservation with the uninterrupted delivery of services,” an Oct. 9 memorandum issued by the Office of the Secretary-General read.
The University has designated office work on Mondays for remote arrangement since April.
To accommodate a high volume of in-person transactions, a minimum number of staff onsite must be maintained across the University’s five offices. These are the Office of the Vice Rector of Finance, Office of the Registrar, Office of Alumni Relations, Health Service and Miguel de Benavides Library.
The heads of these offices and other administrative units are advised to determine the number and deployment of onsite personnel to ensure operational efficiency. Other assigned personnel will also be required to report onsite whenever directed by their respective unit heads to address urgent institutional needs
“The energy conservation must not compromise the quality, accessibility and timeliness of services rendered to students, employees, alumni and other stakeholders.” the memorandum read.
All offices will remain accessible and responsive through official communication channels.
The policy will remain in effect until further notice and may be adjusted upon assessment, according to the Office of the Secretary-General.F
