THE UST Teletigers succumbed to the NU Bulldogs in the 2026 eFIBA x UAAP eGilas Talent Discovery Tournament finale, 51-56, 56-74, on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at MVP Studio in Mandaluyong City.
The Teletigers claimed their second straight silver medal in the event.
UST failed to overcome NU’s early lead in the opening game, despite showing signs of life in the second half.
After a strong start from the Teletigers in the second match, the Bulldogs unleashed a 12-0 run to close the first half, 38-29.
NU continued to punish UST from beyond the arc, keeping the Teletigers at bay as turnovers piled up in the second half.
Despite a 43-point outing from eFIBA World Champion Miguel Hubillar, UST could not complete the comeback and extend the series.
The rebranded tournament also served as a talent identification platform for the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas as it builds its pool of players for eGilas. F
