IN CELEBRATION of its 30th anniversary, the UST Legal Management Society (LMSOC) is holding its month-long celebration titled “Excelsior: Legal Management Month 2023” this March.

The UST LMSOC said the event aims to provide a platform for its members to showcase their skills, as well as to stimulate strong camaraderie and engagement for learning with the activities lined up this year.

“In the 30 years of its existence, it is the month to celebrate the values and virtues in which the society is founded: to fight for justice and equity and to keep the fire of excellence burning,” UST LMSOC vice president-external Mike Cobarrubias said.

For this year, the UST LMSOC launched the debate and e-sports tournaments, and projects like the free Legal Aid Clinic, and the selling of its own merchandise to “feature a series of essentials to pre-law students.”

The event also presented another installment to the annual What Type of Lawyer are You? webinar. It is aired in a podcast format this year with three episodes covering persons and family relations, Litigation, and labor law.

The Legal Management program was first offered by the University under the Faculty of Arts and Letters in the academic year 1993-1994. F
