UST ranks 4th among PH universities in EduRank rankings

THE UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas ranked fourth among 229 universities in the Philippines, according to the 2023 EduRank university rankings.

The independent metric-based university ranking site also revealed that the University placed 781st in Asia and 2,575th worldwide.

EduRank bases its ranking on each university’s research performance (45%), non-academic prominence (45%), and alumni score based on Wikipedia page views (10%).

According to its website, the UST released 1,739 publications and garnered 23,938 citations as of this year.

The University’s medicine, biology, and liberal arts and social sciences fields emerged as first, second, and third, respectively, in terms of publication and citation count.

Jose Rizal was recognized as the University’s most notable alumni based on Wikipedia page popularity. It also recognized former president Manuel Quezon, propagandist and military general Antonio Luna, singer and actress Sarah Geronimo, and controversial blogger Mocha Uson as UST’s notable alumni.

The University of the Philippines Diliman topped the rankings, followed by De La Salle University and Ateneo de Manila University. F – ASL
