
MORE THAN 7,000 Thomasians this academic year are set to march and earn their degrees at the Quadricentennial Pavilion, according to partial data from the Office of the Secretary General.
As of the latest count, 7,329 students are expected to graduate this year, but this number is subject to change as the academic units continue to finalize their official graduation lists.
The Faculty of Pharmacy has logged the highest number of graduates so far, with 839 students.
It is followed by the Faculty of Arts and Letters, which will send off at least 774 Artlets during its solemn investiture rites on June 8.
The Faculty of Engineering tallied the third-highest number of graduation candidates at 634.
The College of Information and Computing Sciences is set to confer degrees on 600 candidates, followed by the College of Commerce and Business Administration and the College of Science with 583 and 559 graduates, respectively.
The Faculty of Medicine and Surgery has 526 graduates, while the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management records 442 graduates.
The College of Fine Arts and Design has produced a total of 426 candidates for graduation, while the UST Alfredo M. Velayo College of Accountancy is expected to confer degrees on 401 graduates.
The College of Architecture will send off 272 graduates this year, while the College of Education will produce 257 graduates. A total of 250 graduates from the Graduate School are expected to finish their degrees.
The College of Rehabilitation Sciences recorded 240 graduates while the College of Nursing logged 140 graduates.
The Faculty of Civil Law has 120 graduates, followed by the Institute of Physical Education and Athletics with 97 graduates, and the Ecclesiastical Faculties, composed of the Faculties of Philosophy, Sacred Theology and Canon Law, with 87 graduates.
The Conservatory of Music and the Graduate School of Law have tallied 65 and 17 graduates, respectively.
Last academic year, the University produced 7,030 graduates in partial tally, with the College of Commerce and Business Administration logging the highest number at 686, followed closely by the Faculty of Arts and Letters with 660 and the Faculty of Engineering with 650.
Spanning one month, the University’s solemn investiture rites for its academic units commenced on Saturday, May 30, and will end on Tuesday, June 30. Artlets will have their graduation ceremony on June 8. F
