The new administration of the Faculty of Arts and Letters (AB) led by Acting Dean Prof. Melanie Turingan will conduct room-to-room visits to respond to the needs of the Artlets.

Turingan said the visits to all AB sections would be conducted after she assumes the highest post in the faculty in January.

“[This is] so they will be able to know the assistance the administration is very willing to offer to them,” Turingan told The Flame in an interview last Wednesday, Dec. 20.

Turingan, who served as assistant dean of AB for a year,  vowed to sustain the accomplishments of her predecessor, outgoing Acting Dean Jacqueline Lopez-Kaw.

The deanship turnover ceremony was held last Wednesday, Dec. 20, but Kaw will serve as acting AB Dean until Dec. 31.

“Since I am part of the previous administration…I will definitely plan to execute all the things that will be left by dean Kaw,”Turingan said.

Turingan was UST assistant registrar from 2018 to 2022 before her appointment as AB assistant dean in December last year.
