THE FACULTY of Arts and Letters (AB) Women’s Basketball Team blasted the College of Rehabilitation Sciences (CRS), 65-16, in this year’s Thomasian Goodwill Games held Monday at P.Noval Court.

Leading the squad to victory was Micah Atienza, who garnered 12 points, trailed by Hershey Pernia and AB team captain Jonne Senga who tallied 11 points each.

AB aggressively owned the hard court, dropping huge points by the end of the third quarter, 53-10.

CRS scored its highest during the last quarter with a total of six points with the efforts of Kat Delfin and Betina Dee but still no match to AB’s 12 points, ending the match with 65-16.

Last Thursday, AB won against the College of Fine Arts and Design, 49-34, on the back of Pernia who secured the team’s lead lead as early as the first quarter.

Team coach Dankewell Din Perez said the women in blue need to maintain their “big heart” and not succumb to pressure to keep winning.

Sundin lang nila ‘yung pinapagawa ko sa kanila, ‘yung game plan, mananalo,” Perez said.
