HST, ASN seize Glaucus 2019 championship

HISTORY and Asian Studies took home trophies in the 2019 Glaucus Prize competitions after topping the team and individual categories, respectively.

The History team, composed of captain Adrian Maranan, Ellaine Marallag, Marlisa Reyes, and Jace Obeya amassed 205 points, narrowly beating first runner up Asian Studies who garnered 200 points in the team category.

Defending champion Literature settled for 3rd place with 180 points.

Asian Studies’ Gabriel Josh Cosme won first place in the individual category with 165 points.

“Actually, hindi ako prepared kasi. Very surprised ako nayung useless knowledge ko, nagagamit ko pala sa ganitong paraan tasyun, may trophy na ako. First time kong sumali sa ganitong type of event,” he said.

Journalism’s Felix Iglesias landed second place with 110 points while Political Science’s Lee Rahmiel Viceral placed third with 90 points.

The 2019 Glaucus Prize dubbed Dunong was held at the Tan Yan Kee Building on Wednesday by the Artlets Student Council in collaboration with the AB Pautakan team. F
